H. Jackson, Tottenham Hale

I don't have any information about the company H. Jackson & Co., whose depot was located in Tottenham Hale.

The position of the text of this ghost sign, in comparison to the white background is slightly odd. Indeed it leaves a large space to the left empty. Was something written there?

Wilson & Co Ltd, Tottenham

Partly hidden by the roof next door, this ghost sign is barely noticeable above Tottenham High Road. In all likelyhood it advertised lead merchant Wilson G. L. & Co Ltd. The company's name appears in several journals published between 1883 and 1952. It is likely this ghost sign was painted when it was established or shortly after.

Cole, Tottenham

Visible from far away, this gable seems to have three ghost signs painted on it, but only one is still complete.

Two ghost signs promoted Cole's business. The original version almost completely disappeared when the new one was painted. Only the nameColeis still visible, at the same level as "Hair."
On the second, more elaborate version of Cole's sign, the letters project a red shadow. It readsCole

Butter a speciality, Tottenham

This is undoubtedly one of the five most difficult signs to photograph I have come across as it is largely obscured by a newer building next door and is best seen from the middle of Forster Road. Thanks to the lady driver who was patient enough not to honk...
Unfortunately I haven't found anything about what was most certainly a dairy shop.

O'Meara Camping, Tottenham

At last we are reaching some decent temperatures and camping grounds can certainly expect to be quite full this weekend. I wonder how many campers will have purchased their equipment from O'Meara?

This Irish company has been in business since 1966. With only one shop in Dublin, they seem to rely essentially on mail orders. Did they have at some point more shops, including one at least in London? Or did a shop in Tottenham stock their products? If the ghost sign below was advertising a mail order business, I would have tought more information would have been provided.

Until a few months ago, the extreme right part of this sign was hidden behind a billboard, hence the slight difference of tone on the white paint.
